Sam loves picking the prairie grass along the trail.

A mommy killdear sits on four eggs in the middle of the trail,

Gedion tries to interest Sam in some rocks.

Helping Mom with the Garden

Sam enjoys the task of covering up the worms as Mommy exposes them. "They're sleeping," he says.  "Need dark."

After he gets scared by a field mouse, Sam decides he'd rather clean out last year's mess than dig in the dirt.

Sam helps weed the lilies.

Until he gets distracted. "Look, Mama.  A birdy pooped."
